Martha came to WSU in 2005 bringing previous experience in the non-profit and business sectors. Prior to becoming a founding Metro Center staff member, she held leadership roles in both King and Pierce County Extension. She is known for her ability to effectively manage diverse projects ranging from small and local to multi-state and national, and her ability to build relationships between the community and academia. Martha often provides leadership on Metro Center projects related to improving equity and access, organizational development and professional development. She also facilitates Poverty Immersion workshops for public agencies, schools and non-profits seeking to better serve low income residents.
